AWARDS– sorry there are no age group nor overall prizes in 2021
In accordance with CT state guidelines, we cannot host an awards ceremony nor post-event gatherings.
IMPORTANT DETAIL– There will be a 150 person limit for these events. We encourage everyone to donate any additional amount to Emerge, our charity partner.
MODIFICATIONS FOR A SAFE TIMED START– We will be using a chip-timed, “open start” format FOR THE 3+ MILE EVENT ONLY. This has been successfully used in various races around the state by our production company. A maximum of five people at the start line leaving at 10-15 second intervals means that a field of 150 can safely clear the start in five minutes or less.
Come join us for a scenic 5K or 10K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 15 on the beautiful tree-lined roads along the reservoirs behind our campus. Or, if you prefer a virtual option, you can run/walk the course any time from May 14-17!
Race start times will be staggered to maintain social distancing. We will be following the governor’s COVID-19 guidelines for road races.
Join us virtually in 2021! Run the Stamford Boys & Girls Club Corporate 5K at a time and place of your choosing between May 17 – May 21. Corporate teams are encouraged to join. The Corporate Miles Challenge returns for the 2021 virtual race! Learn more about the challenge here.

If cases in Hartford County get too high, or we are seeing significant upward trending, Santa’s Run may be canceled/postponed. In the event of cancelation, FULL refunds will be issued. The Chester Rotary 2021 Four on The Fourth Tradition Will Continue and This Year it Will Be Both Virtual and Limited In-Person!
We want everyone to enjoy their race safely. The 4 on the Fourth is a big deal in Chester not only for our runners but also our staff and wonderful volunteers! We’ve all made adjustments this past year, and now we feel comfortable moving forward within limits designed for safety. The in person race will be professionally timed as usual but instead of a gun start, runner’s will be assigned a start time and sent off in waves, crossing mats to record their start and finish times. See more details in our 2021 Race Guidelines.
Virtual: Run your timed/scored race away from the crowds on our beautiful 4-mile course in Chester, CT or in your own neighborhood anywhere in the contiguous United States. Run anytime you like from Sunday, July 4 through Sunday, July 11. Your time is uploaded and your score ranked against other racers on our RunSignUp page. Don’t like your score. Run again and your better time is uploaded and scored. Want your cheerleaders. Absolutely! With our RaceJoy app you can share your course and progress with your peeps. They can send you cheers and other encouragement through RaceJoy from their own homes.
Limited In-Person: The in-person race will be held on Monday, July 5, 2021 at 9am and is limited to 500 runners. Runners are to arrive at the St. Joseph’s parking lot not sooner than 30 minutes before their assigned start time.Social distancing and other COVID-19 safety measures will be followed. Please refer to our 2021 Race Guidelines. Registration fee for both races will be $20.
Registration is on-line and by mail. Registrations by mail must be received by Chester Rotary before May 29. No in-person race-day registration this year.
