GO GREEN AND GET YOUR IRISH ON! At the 4th annual Shamrock 5K Run to benefit St. John School! Bring your little leprechaun for the wee ½ mile race for kids ages 2-11. State of the art RFID chip timing system. First 150 registrants get a free long sleeve T-shirt. Trophy for male and female winners. Live broadcast from 94.9 and 106.5. All participants enjoy finish line photos, complementary beverage stub good for one free beer/non-alcoholic drink at the famous Monkey Farm Café, bagpipe music, free refreshments and more!

Course Description: No blarney, this is a fast and flat 3.1-mile race course! CruIse along the beautiful scenic roads of historical Old Saybrook, and sweep along the Connecticut River and marshes throughout the picturesque North Cove Road area. The race starts and finishes at the site of the original Fort Saybrook on the corner of Bridge and College Street.

Enjoy Middletown’s country roads, Wesleyan University campus and a grand downtown finish on historic Main Street. The 10 mile race is a great early season distance to prep for half marathons in the spring and is a USATF-CT State Championship race.

The Legends Run/Walk loops around Wesleyan in a course about 3.5 miles long that welcomes runners and walkers, accommodating all paces. Both races finish on Main Street, brimming with trendy restaurants and bars, an award-winning local chocolatier, a delectable cupcake bakery and much more.

All finishers receive a high quality short sleeve technical shirt and flashy medal to show off at the post-race celebration, which features pizza from MONDO, chocolate milk and cookies.

HMF Sam Adams Challenge Series: The 10 mile race is the first event in the 2020 Spring Medley Challenge, a NEW offering that will earn participants a custom series tech training shirt. The Medley starts off with 10 miles in Middletown, then hits up the Burlington to Collinsville 10K in May and the challenge ends in June at the UConn Health Half Marathon. DETAILS

HMF FitKids: Bring the family and participate in the HMF FitKids Run- a ¼ mile or ½ mile race for kids ages 2-11.

Give Back: Please help give back to the community that has opened their streets for participants. Donations of nonperishable food will be collected on race day through the HMF Can drive to benefit Middletown’s Amazing Grace Food Pantry, which provides food to more than 1,000 low-income households each month.

The Kathleen E. Goodwin School Parent Teacher Association is hosting a new 5K family fun run and kids race to help raise funds for updating play areas at the school while promoting health and fitness throughout the elementary school community. The race is set to take place on Saturday, April 25, 2020 in the school parking lot. The course is a fast, flat course leaving from the school parking lot and making a loop through the Indian Town neighborhood.

The 9th annual Ion Bank Cheshire Road Races returns to Cheshire, CT on April 26th! Featured races include the half marathon, relay, 5K, kids 1/2 mile fun run & kids 1/4 mile fun run. The event benefits a number of local charities including Abilities Without Boundaries, Cheshire Lions and Best Buddies Connecticut.

This is an opportunity for people of all ages to join in an explosion of color with friends and family. The 5K course will be from the fairgrounds to Jacobs Beach and back.  The 3K course will be from the fairgrounds past the historic Henry Whitfield House, and back. As you run or walk the course, you will be bombarded with color. This is not your grandma’s traditional event, although she is certainly welcome to participate and we know several who are planning to do so. The course will be set up so you can bypass the color stations if you wish to do so.

Dominate the Day Foundation loves this shoreline race site and are committed to keeping it plastic free. Instead, the Regional Water Authority Water Wagon will provide the hydration you need. There will be plenty of paper cups and feel free to bring your own reusable water bottle.
